In every role I have taken, from field ecologist to technical adviser during UN negotiations, the common thread has been people. I believe that the most transformative change happens not in isolation, but in collaboration. That’s why I center relationships, trust, and inclusivity in all my work.

Early in my career, conducting community-based biodiversity surveys in Uganda taught me that local voices are not just valuable—they are essential.

My work with scientists and other stakeholders from over 25 countries, has deepened my understanding of how social dynamics shape conservation outcomes.

As a scientist, consultant, teacher, and project leader, I have designed and led programs that reflect social diversity and prioritize inclusion. I approach social sustainability with a commitment to:

Equity over uniformity

Collaboration over hierarchy

Listening over assumption

True sustainability begins with social cohesion, and that is what I aim to build through every project, policy, and partnership!
